Terms of use
Last updated 31 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Company name Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 00000000), registered office registered office address, which runs Murr Mall (“we”, “us”). By using Murr Mall you accept them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
2. What Murr Mall is
Murr Mall lets you make wishlists, share them with a link, and lets your guests quietly reserve the gifts they plan to give. It’s free.
We don’t sell the items in wishlists. Product links lead to other shops, and anything you buy there is between you and that shop. Names, pictures and prices filled in from a link come from the shop’s page and may be wrong or out of date.
3. Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to make an account. If you’re under 18, ask a parent or guardian first.
- You sign in with a link sent to your email, so anyone who can read your email can get into your account. Keep your email secure, and tell us if you think someone else has got in.
- An account is for one person.
4. Your wishlists
What you put in Murr Mall stays yours. You let us store it, copy it and show it as needed to run Murr Mall, for example to show a list to the people you share it with and to keep backups. This permission ends when you delete it, apart from copies in backups that are overwritten soon after.
You’re responsible for what you add. Don’t add anything that:
- is illegal, hateful, threatening or sexually explicit;
- harasses someone or shares someone else’s personal details without their permission;
- uses words or pictures you have no right to use;
- links to scams, malware or spam.
We may remove content that breaks these rules. If you think something on Murr Mall infringes your rights, for example a picture you own, write to us and we’ll look into it.
5. Sharing and reservations
Anyone with a wishlist’s link can view it and reserve gifts in it. A reservation is a courtesy between friends: it isn’t a purchase or a promise, and we can’t guarantee that a reserved gift will be bought or that two guests won’t give the same thing.
6. Using Murr Mall fairly
Please don’t:
- try to get into lists or accounts that aren’t yours, or get round our security;
- overload Murr Mall, or copy its data in bulk with scripts or bots;
- make accounts automatically, or use Murr Mall to advertise or spam;
- copy Murr Mall’s design or artwork (see section 9).
7. Changes to Murr Mall
Murr Mall is a young service and we’re still improving it, so features may change, and it may sometimes be unavailable. If we ever close Murr Mall, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, where we can, so you can save your wishlists.
8. Leaving, and closing accounts
You can stop using Murr Mall at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We’ll usually warn you first, but we may act straight away if the breach is serious or puts others at risk.
9. What belongs to us
The Murr Mall name, the cats, the mall and its artwork, and the website’s code belong to us. You may share screenshots and recordings of your own wishlists, but please don’t otherwise copy them.
10. Our responsibility
We take care to run Murr Mall well, but because it’s free and provided as it is, we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We’re not responsible for:
- gifts bought or not bought, or anything to do with shops and their products;
- losing wishlist content, so keep your own copy of anything important;
- losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen;
- business losses, since Murr Mall is for personal use.
Otherwise, our total responsibility to you is limited to £100. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit, and nothing takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Murr Mall grows. We’ll change the date at the top, and if the change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Murr Mall and ask us to delete your account.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts. If you live in another country, you keep the protections its law gives consumers.
